Bark: gray, rough with fingerprint depressions and small vertically aligned bumps; slice grainy on the outside, laminated on the inside, white speckled with orange-yellow, with abundant sticky exudation of currant hue.
Sapwood: well differentiated, whitish.
Wood: dark brown.
