Merbau is an African hardwood that is commonly found in East Africa and some parts of Australia, primarily New Guinea. The tree is 130-200 ft in height and has a trunk diameter of 1.2-1.5 meter. The freshly cut Merbau wood has an orangish-brown color, which gets darker with age. The Merbau wood has high durability and shows strong resistance against both rotting and insect attacks. The common uses of Merbau logs and timber including furniture making, flooring, and for making turned objects.
We harvest fresh Merbau wood logs and process them at the company mill located in Douala, Cameroon.
